A team of two volunteer educators will come to your classroom with a grade-appropriate presentation based on where you currently are in your science curriculum. Topics covered include: electricity, light, photosynthesis, coal plants and energy sources, solar energy, and a hands-on module component where students can build their own solar module and watch it spin a motor. If it's sunny enough, we'll take an impromptu field trip outside!

This program is designed before the visit specifically for your classroom education level.
A team of two volunteer educators, at least one of which who will be a practicing scientists, will come to your classroom with a grade-appropriate presentation. This workshop is a guided discussion with plenty of time for open questions. The classroom will be free to explore their own scientific ideas, and learn more about what it means to be a scientist in everyday life.
